Let me start by saying I consider guitars (etc.) to be an art form, with a bonus, you can play them. I think the best examples were produced in the sixties and early seventies, today's offerings with a few exceptions (eg. Stradette) don't do much for me. My Collection has been dictated by (unfortunately) price first and uniqueness and aesthetics next. I particulary like Rickenbackers but theyr'e outside my budget. Equally I like viola/violin shaped semi hollow body guitars and basses and currently have eight, five truly vintage. Most of these were in very poor condition, missing parts etc. when I purchased them. It is a real pleasure to refurbish (I don't attempt true restorations) these sad examples and bring them back to working works of art! Same goes for all the other vintage and not so vintage guitars in my Collection.
